Hi, I'm Jerrod!
I’m passionate about helping clients find unique ways to unlock more of their potential. I have a professional background in finance, economics, banking, risk management, valuation, statistics, and AI and I’m an experienced entrepreneur, having started and managed a CPG brand and AgTech business and worked as an advisor for several startups. I volunteer my time helping other military veteran entrepreneurs as an
I hold an MBA from the University of Missouri with additional graduate coursework in statistics and machine learning from Iowa State and Stanford University. I’ve worked as an adjunct professor for the University of Missouri, DMACC, and Drake University on the topics of finance, accounting, and statistical programming.
I’m a scholar and a warrior — I’m an Iraq war veteran, having served as an infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division, and I hold a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As the saying goes, I’m a lover and a fighter — I enjoy time with my family and the community connections we’ve established. Due to my experience, grit, and deep professional network, I’m confident that no challenge is too big for Ultimum to handle.

Jase
Jase is an accomplished consultant with over a decade of experience, specializing in strategic problem-solving and data analysis. Originating from Australia, Jase's professional journey commenced within a family business while pursuing an undergraduate program in pre-medicine. During his time in Australia, he actively engaged in community sports and served with the rural fire brigade, demonstrating his commitment to both professional and civic endeavors.
Bringing a formidable academic background to his work, Jase holds Masters degrees in Statistics and Business Analytics in addition to extensive pre-med and legal coursework. His transition from drug research and analysis at ISU to a hybrid position at Wells Fargo bridging modeling, governance, and production reporting underscores his versatility and adaptability. Today, Jase is recognized as a trusted consultant, dedicated to empowering organizations with actionable insights and strategic guidance to drive sustainable growth and success.
Paul
Paul brings a wealth of technical knowledge to the Ultimum team as an expert in cloud database engineering and agile project management. He’s an AWS Certified Cloud Professional and holds degrees in mathematics and computer science from Drake University, where he graduated summa cum laude. In high school, Paul’s tenancy and leadership were on full display outside of the classroom as well, serving as captain of the football, baseball, and wrestling teams.
Paul’s dad immigrated from Poland with no money, no connections, and only spoke Polish. With hard work and self-motivation, he created his own business and was able to support a family of six. That mindset of hard work is the same one that Paul applies to his professional endeavors, he refuses to deliver anything but the best for our clients.
Our Story
The History of The Ultimum Group
Formation
We formed a mastermind, along with a small group of friends involved in entrepreneurship, in 2022 with the aim of accelerating each others' businesses. From discussions within this group and with other business owners, it became apparent that there was a need in the market for trusted technical expertise and strategic consulting. Three of us from that group, Jerrod, Jase, and Paul, eventually formed Ultimum Consulting in 2023 to serve local small businesses and startups.
Early Work
One piece of advise we received from the experienced consultants we met with, was to seek out pro-bono projects to get started. We loved the idea, and soon landed our first project where we helped a local non-profit find ways to improve capacity and gain better insights into their operations through dashboards and analytics. Over the next few months, we helped an AgTech with machine learning architecture and helped a FinTech secure their initial funding with extensive risk modeling and financial forecasting.
Learnings & Iteration
In April of 2024 we presented at 1 Million Cups, where we received valuable feedback from the community. We were also going deeper with clients and prospects, learning where the common pain-points exist and up-skilling ourselves to provide more value in alignment with the market demands. We began to see our consulting practice as a startup, mastering the latest tools and seeking ways to deliver more value to clients.
Software Offering
In September 2024 we launched our GHL-powered Ultimum Sales Studios to give our team a deeper set of tools to help clients automate, integrate, and manage nearly every part of their sales and customer management processes. This immediately brought a new wave of interest to our firm and taught us the value of bundling more overtly tangible offerings to bolster our value proposition.
Present & Future
Not long after launching Ultimum Sales Studio, we rebranded ourselves as The Ultimum Group. Based on our learnings, we've overcome the limitations of the project-based approach by focusing on a retainer model that bundles our time, software, and lead-generation database into a low monthly commitment that provides tremendous value to small businesses and startups.

Discovery
We work interactively with our clients to find the highest value areas to work in, scope out projects, and build a roadmap with the associated research and tasks required to deliver tangible value to your organization.
Implementation
Next, we develop, implement, and test out processes and tools that drive the results identified during the discovery phase. We remain tool and solution agnostic, and focus on a lean approach so we can start iterating on what works and eliminating what doesn't.
Support & Iterate
Next comes the support phase, focused not only on ensuring the solutions implemented continue to run smoothly, but also on iterating a refining the approach. We'll lay out KPIs to ensure projects are driving the desired outcomes and use those to circle back to the discovery phase for crafting additional solutions.
